Jewellery Care
Five minutes a month is the difference between jewellery that ages beautifully and jewellery that looks tired.
The daily habit
Jewellery on last, off first. Apply perfume, cream and hairspray before putting pieces on, and remove them before showering where practical.
Cleaning by material
Solid gold: warm water, unscented soap, soft brush. Sterling silver: polishing cloth for tarnish. Gold vermeil: dry soft cloth only — never dip solutions or abrasives, which strip the gold.
Storage
Store pieces separately in the pouch provided, away from humidity and sunlight. Chains should hang or lie flat, never coiled.
What to avoid
Chlorine, salt water, bleach, ultrasonic cleaners on stone-set pieces, and sleeping in long chains or dangling earrings.
